Spanish 15mm Wallon Guard infantry

Last night i sat down and started the infantry first up two Battalions of Wallon Guard these figures are Mini figs not a lot of detail but still not to bad to paint.

Here's a few close ups of the command figures

Next on to the Idranda. If my Memory serves me right i have two of Battalions of each to paint
Hope to get these done today which will make half of the infantry done.

  1. Amazing work as always. I really like those large bags on the back of the bearskins. I'm not too familiar with Minifigs - do they sculpt on buttons? Dean

  2. Not really not much of anything and heaps of flash to cut off, I'm still an AB's fan

  3. Very nice. I don´t know much about Spanish Napoleonic but they are very well painted miniatures. Sometimes, I like to paint miniatures few details, when you do this you can make your own details with the brush.

I have never painted AB miniatures but they seem fantastic sculptures.

AB Minatures have really nice detail but they are still really nice to paint.

  5. Kent,

is this still the same commission or are they for you? I have some 1808-09 era Spaniards to paint at some point, I will definitely use these are my motivation!
I do not know if you saw that I had received my AB mini's I ordered early last month, but I have them primed and on Popsicle sticks ready to paint, I just want to get some 28mm ECW painting in before going to the AB's...
    Cheers...

  6. They are part of the same commission 3 cav units 8 infantry 2 guns and limbers and 3 wagoons.
I have 5 commission jobs in the wings it's either chinese ancients next of Macedonians, then 28mm Ecw cav to boxes, 28mm WWI infantry and cav and then a rather large Ancient Britons army hopefully somewhere in there i might get some of my own minatures painted, Iv'e got 204 Greek 28mm figures coming along with both GermaN AND bRITISH 28mm wwII figures, some AB British and Brunswick and of course there's alway my 10mm Russian oh then there is a Box of Victrix Scottish, and 28mm 1807 Victrix French should keep me busy for I while.

  7. LOL I saw that you had gotten some Highlanders coming on WAB Corner. You are like me lots of painting to do and not enough time to do it. I can sympathize with your back problems, I was on a helicopter as part of its crew during the first gulf war and broke my neck and messed up my lower back and both knee's really bad, so I feel ya when it comes to pain. I have had 14 operations since 91 and now can walk around pretty good, but I have several plates and other foreign bits in my neck and knee's that I did not come with out of the factory, so I still feel that pretty strongly everyday! Sorry to ramble about this but I just wanted you to know that you are not alone brother... :)

    Cheers...

  11. Hey Kent, sorry I brought it up brotha, it is what it is. I just hope you feel better. Well you convinced me yet again to put the 28mm ECW down and paint up the 15mm AB figs I got, so I am going to work on them and then explain in my blog that it was your fault that yet again after saying I was putting the 15's down and doing the ECW, by crikey what is this at least the 3rd time? LOL Anyway good on ya mate! I hope you are having a great day...

    Cheers.
